Parents Sponsorship
Parents Sponsorship Canada
It’s difficult to move away from home and leave your parents on the other coast. Reuniting families in Canada is one of the goals of the Canadian government. The second highly sought-after immigration track within the family class is grandparents and parent sponsorship, which is in addition to spousal sponsorship. The Canadian government changed the application process for the Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP) in 2017. 10,000 applications from Canadian citizens and permanent residents who want to sponsor their parents or grandparents to immigrate to Canada were chosen at random by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). In order to help potential sponsors determine their eligibility based on minimum income requirements, more questions have been added to the 2018 edition. DREAMWAY Immigration Consultants will assist you with Immigration through Parents Sponsorship Canada.
If you are not invited to sponsor your parents or grandparents in 2020, you may submit a sponsorship interest form in 2021. Continue checking updates if you’re still interested in sponsoring your parents in case a second round of invites to do so is made public.
You must submit your entire application package by the time stated in your invitation if you are requested to apply to sponsor your parents or grandparents. Your parents will immigrate to Canada once you are approved as a sponsor and the eligibility test is successful.
Please be aware that you may only submit your application package once. It is essential to avoid any mistakes that could lead to additional delays or, in rare situations, application rejections given the lengthy application processing times. Hire an immigration consultant to aid you and guide you through the procedure to save time. We provide a variety of solutions, including full representation and self-managed choices like hourly consultation, final review, and Personal packages, allowing you to pick between in-person and online services.
Parents & Grandparents Sponsorship
Interest To Sponsor
The Sponsorship Pool for Parents and Grandparents will open on September 20, 2021. Submission of the Interest to Sponsor form is required within the allotted (2 week) time frame. In the next PGP 2021 lottery draw, those who expressed a desire to sponsor in 2020 but were not invited to apply may be taken into consideration.
Lottery
IRCC will analyze the submissions and eliminate duplicate entries after the PGP pool ends. Potential sponsors will be chosen at random, and they will be asked to apply to sponsor their parents and grandparents. You might think about a visitor visa or a super visa for parents and grandparents if you didn’t obtain an invitation (see the lottery results).
Results
The potential sponsors who were chosen at random will receive an email invitation to apply from IRCC. A confirmation number was sent to each person who submitted an interest to sponsor form. Verify the same email address that you used on the submission form. Additionally, the IRCC website will post the lottery results.
Apply For PR
You must apply to become a sponsor if you are chosen to apply, and your parents and grandparents must apply for permanent residency. The applications must be sent in by the deadline stated in your invitation. Below is more information on forms, costs, and processing times.
